Revitalizing Downtown Winston-Salem for over 25 years.

Lou Baldwin serves as President of Baldwin Properties, specializing in the leasing, sales and management of commercial and investment real estate and real estate development consulting. W.F. Baldwin Founded Our Company in 1928

Our company’s founder, William Frazier Baldwin, was born in 1894. Mr. Baldwin, who went by “Frazier”, moved to Winston-Salem in 1926. In 1926 Winston-Salem had the reputation of being a boom town. This was largely fueled by the rapid grow of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, which has been founded here in 1875.

Lou Baldwin acquires the company in 1989.

Louis B. Baldwin, Jr. (“Lou”) began helping out in the office in 1976 at the age of 12 and continued to do so on some basis from that time through college. Lou graduated from Forsyth Country Day School in 1982 and from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1986 with a BA degree in Economics. Lou gained business and sales experience selling books door to door for the Southwestern Book Company in Kansas and Texas during several of his summers at Carolina.
