    • A non-refundable service fee of twenty dollars ($20) will be charged to all customers requesting water and wastewater service.
    • All customers may be subject to a credit evaluation to determine if a deposit will be required for service activation. Based on the result of the credit evaluation, a security deposit of up to $150 may be required.

  • Local telephone service is primarily provided by Bell South. Other telephone companies do operate in the local market.

    • All garbage and household trash should be stored in metal or plastic containers which have tight fitting lids and two handles. The maximum number of containers city crews will empty are three (3) 32-gallon cans or four (4) 20-gallon cans or one (1) 96 gallon roll-out container. Garbage is collected from the backyard of a residence once a week.
    • Dead animal removal. 336-727-2638. The city provides dead animal collection Monday through Friday from 8am to 2pm and on Saturdays from 8am to 12 noon.
